THESIS : SCHOOL HALLWAY REDESIGN
Graphic design shapes our world from a very young age—even on the very first day of school. Yet, many school hallways remain underutilized spaces, often bare or limited to sparse, rule-based posters that don’t engage or inspire students. This observation became the foundation for a senior thesis exploring how thoughtful, creative design can transform these everyday environments into vibrant, educational spaces.
The project focused on harnessing visual hierarchy, compelling imagery, and interactive elements to turn empty walls into tools for teaching and inspiration. By integrating dynamic graphics and clear messaging, the design aims to spark curiosity, foster learning, and create a welcoming atmosphere that nurtures young minds as they navigate their daily routines.
This thesis envisions school corridors not just as passageways, but as rich, immersive canvases where design empowers students, celebrates creativity, and supports educational goals. It challenges traditional approaches to school environments, proposing that design can play a vital role in shaping positive, memorable experiences from the very start of a child’s education.
